I am new so please forgive me if this is a simple problem. I'm having trouble installing
pgplot-perl from the unstable tree.
As per instructions on the fink FAQ, I copied the .patch and .info files of extutils-f77 and pgplot-perl from the unstable tree to /sw/fink/10.2/local/main/finkinfo .
I then ran :
sudo apt-get install extutils-f77
Won't work. "apt-get install" is for installing precompiled binaries. Packages in unstable don't exist as precompiled binaries. You have to compile them yourself using "fink install".
