[Fink-beginners] system-xfree86 won't install

system-xfree86 won't install with my Apple X11 PB 3. The version listed 
from 'fink list' is 4.2-5, but the website says 4.2-11 is in 
current-stable.
I have run 'fink selfupate' and that made no difference. I tried 
system-xfree86 version 4.2-5, and it failed. I also tried:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install system-xfree86
and that tried the old version as well. What have I done wrong?
