Sure. If you got it from the binary distribution (apt-get or dselect) there won't be any problems. If the applications are built from source (fink install) some rebuilding may be required, because of some incompatibilities between the two. I believe this happens more if you build them while you have xfree86-* installed, and then switch to Apple X11.
