I fink removed and reinstalled freetype2 2.0.9-1. After doing so, freetype2 2.1.3-1 installed without difficulty.
I have fixed freetype2-hinting. (Note that freetype2 2.1.3 can generate its own hints, so freetype2-hinting isn't as necessary).
