[Fink-beginners] XDarwin & system-xfree86 in full-screen mode

Hi all.

Has anyone else experienced considerable screen flicker when using XDarwin and system-xfree86 in full-screen mode? At the moment the desktop background is a dotted grey colour and flickers like crazy. Is there a way of changing the background?

One other question, there's a hint at MacOSXHints detailing how to get antialiased fonts in xterm windows using Apple's X11. Is there a way to achieve this using XDarwin and system-xfree86?

Oh, and one final question; what's the best way of telling which version (of system-xfree86 for instance) of a certain package you have installed using fink?
