Okay, I can click and drag the grass-5.0.0-4.info file from the /unstable/main/finkinfo folder onto, say, the Desktop. I cannot, however, drag it to the /local/main/finkinfo folder, which I'm guessing has to do with my permissions. Should I use the command line, instead? But if I don't have permission to drag and drop, how do I give myself permission on the command line? Then, if I'm able to move this .info file, will Fink find and install GRASS as I'd like it to? Is there something I'm missing here?
2 Then:
sudo cp mygrassfile /local/main/finkinfo/
and enter your admin password.
Replace mygrassfile with the correct name grass-5.0.0.4 etc...
If you want to copy a folder, just insert -Rf between cp and the name of the folder.
