Locate fondu gives me

/sw/bin/fondu
/sw/fink/10.2/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/utils/fondu_021223-1_darwin-powerpc.deb

This is the version that is currently installed on your Mac via fink

Q1 Do I have six versions installed?
    /sw/fink/10.2/stable/main/finkinfo/utils/fondu-021223-1
    /sw/fink/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/utils/fondu-021223-1
    /sw/fink/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/utils/fondu-030122-1
    /sw/fink.old/10.2/stable/main/finkinfo/utils/fondu-021223-1
    /sw/fink.old/10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/utils/fondu-021223-1

These are information files from which you can build or install a binary of fondu. These are no applications just informations about them.

/usr/local/bin/fondu

This is another version installed via OpenOffice or another application. Take a look if this version is linked to the one in the /sw/bin folder, then you have only one version installed.

Q2 When I run an application that uses fondu (eg Start OpenOffice.org) which version will it use?

From the informations I have regarding your mail I suppose that version 021223-1 will be used for converting fonts.

But be aware OpenOffice.org does not automaticly convert fonts you have to do it manually via the command line. The StartOpenOffice.app that converts them automaticly is still a beta and buggy.

Q3 Should I remove any of these?

No, leave everything as it is.

Hope this helps
Eric
