Do you have HTTP_PROXY or FTP_PROXY environment variables set? If so, curl
will use their values (see ENVIRONMENT section of curl manpage). Also note
that /sw/bin/init.{csh,sh} will set http and ftp proxy environment
variables based on what's in /etc/fink.conf. So if you haven't logged out
recently, those variables might be set in your environment from *before*
you changed fink.conf (use 'printenv' to check).
