<sorry if this is a duplicate>

I'll bet the new installer was using your old package information. When I ran the installer, it initially installed filmgimp-0.16-1, which is the version in the standard Fink unstable tree. I then ran "fink index" to bring the package index up to date, and then Fink showed 0.16-3 (not -4 ????) as available. I then did the update, and 0.16-3 got installed.

Try running "fink index" and you should be able to install filmgimp.

I'm not sure about why the revision isn't -4, however.

I too downloaded it again. It does not work. It continues to have the same exact error message listed below.

I don't understand why the version 0.16-4 gives the message referring to filmgimp-0.16-2

I downloaded it and it worked OK (unc.dl.sourceforge.net)

I try to install MacFilmGimp but I receive this message:

Somebody can help me?

Guilio,

The MacFilmGimp project (now known as MacCinePaint) distributes their own
fink .info files. The file you are trying to install is an old one.
The most recent version available at http://cinepaint.sourceforge.net/
is filmgimp-0.16-4, and it correctly depends on fink's libpng3 package
rather than the obsolete libpng package. If you look on their downloads
page, you'll find version 0.16-4 available to download.

I'm hoping that the MacFilmGimp/MacCinePaint folks will add this to their
FAQ or otherwise indicate the problem on their website. We at Fink can
also put a notice in our "News" section if that seems appropriate. I'm
sending a copy of this to the cinepaint developer's list so that they
are aware of the problems you are having.
