I was just poking around and realized that my /sw/src directory has a LOT of

Can I get rid of these files?? I typically use Fink Commander and I do not have
the option to keep the build directories selected, hence my confusion.

Thanks.

Actually, Fink doesn't re-download when just the revision changes (e.g. 1.2.3-4 -> 1.2.3-5). That's the main reason to keep the most recent versions of the source files around, especially for those on a dialup connection--revisions happen fairly often.

The directories are most likely leftovers from failed builds--they only get removed when a build is successful.

In any case, you can delete anything from /sw/src that you want to.
