What happens if you set TERM, e.g. "setenv TERM xterm-color" and try the
build again?

Thanks Alexander. Once again you have saved the day! I knew on some of 
these installs, when I was asked to solve a dependency issue that the 
default response or my choice might not work. Practice, I guess.
