Panther is on my computer at the moment. I understand fink is not perfect with Panther, and it shows when trying to install lilypond (the poor man's music notation program).
By itself I think lilypond is OK; the problem, from reading reports in fink-developer, might be tetex.
If fink can't handle the installation, what's the best way to accomplish it manually? I can't find any documentation on the subject, but I thought this was how Panther beta users survived for months without a fully functional fink.
