Hi all, today aftwer switching to fink 0.16.0-1 and the 10.2-gcc3.3 tree I did a fink selfupdate and some core packages were updated. After that I did a fink update-all and fink asked some questions about depencies and then wanted to updat and install about 70 packages. So far so good. I said Yes and fink begun downloading the sources nearly at the end it then wanted to download the source for xfree. Here is the screen output in terminal: wget --verbose --passive-ftp http://eu.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/fink/X4211src.tar.bz2 --09:48:33-- http://eu.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/fink/X4211src.tar.bz2 => `X4211src.tar.bz2' Resolving eu.dl.sourceforge.net... done. 16% [=====> ] 7,900,002 84.94K/s ETA 07:32 But why does fink do this? I have already XDarwins Xfree 86 4.3.0 and a system-xfree86 installed so why should I install a second x in a minor version? Or does this source package belong to this "xfree86-base-threaded-shlibs xfree86-shlibs" two packages which are named as additional packages in order to fullfill depencies? Do I need to compile my Xfree4.3.0 again with gcc3.3 in order to have fink recognize it? Or is this all normal?
