Fink Commander is the GUI for fink. Don't close the terminal window as that closes the processes that are running. Either hide or minimize it.

Hi again ;-)

ok, Gimp is running fine now (see: http://larsi.macbay.de/gimp.jpg ). But now I have a question concerning X11 apps and Expos. Because of requiring a running X11 server I have to launch the X11.app under 10.3 Now I can launch Gimp (and of course other X11 apps). But if I use the F10 now (in order to use Expos feature to hide all windows from other apps) all X11 windows remain active (see http://larsi.macbay.de/gimp2.jpg ) But that can't be the intention of Expos. I only want the Gimp windows to be selectable.

Another problem: I open a new xterm window (again using the X11 app) and type "/sw/bin/gimp &". But if I close the xterm window now, Gimp quits, too. Actually it should stay alive or am I wrong?

Kind regards,

Lars from Germany
