Did you make a a "fink selfupdate-rsync" or "fink selfupdate" in 
the terminal or out of the fink commander. This is necessary after 
an upgrade since the installation from source starts at zero and 
installs only the most necessary libs and apps and so you cannot 
have all packages listed in fink commander. 

And did you install the latest version of fink commander, 
system-perl or perl from fink. Fink Commander needs them.

If a "fink selfupdate" or "fink update-all" doesn't solve the 
problem, feel free to reask again on this list.
