removing the trailing slashes allows me to do the mv command in the terminal successfully, but that doesn't help me with the build.

The trailing slashes arror has now officially been blamed on Stuffit Pro 8.0.1. If you have this installed, switch the kernel extension off that allows automatic stuffing by simple renaming of file extensions. This should make your mv command work again, trailing slashes or not.


Wow, somebody did some nice detective work! Turning off the ArchiveViaRealName feature in the Stuffit AVR pref in System Preferences:Other allowed me to successfully compile gtk+2 2.2.1-17 and gaim and....
