I think it does use a cookie or something similar to select a mirror site, so your firewall could well be blocking access.

I can't get to the prdownloads.sourceforge.net page from the link at http://fink.sourceforge.net/download/index.php

In fact, other sf.net download pages are also not responding. Maybe a firewall issue? Does prdownloads.sf.net try to get info about the referring page or something that may be blocked by my firewall?

It seems to work for me. Have you tried a different mirror?

Subject: [Fink-beginners] Can't Download Fink

I've been trying to download Fink 0.6.2 this weekend, using the
prdownloads.sourceforge.net link on the Fink website. So far, I keep
getting connection errors.

I'd like to know if there's a problem on my end or Sourceforge's.
Sourceforge stats say that the download server is working, but at the
moment I'm a little skeptical (all other webpages and non-sf downloads
are working fine for me). Could someone try the download link and let
me know if you succeed to connect to the download server?

Thanks,

Tom
