I had this problem as well at first (I did not see the wrapping issue either). If you edit fink.conf again, you will probably notice the line "local/bootstrap Distribution: 10.3" just below the "Trees:" line. Make the "Distribution: 10.3" its own line. Also, make sure the line above it (that probably just says 'local/bootstrap') has a space to start (just indent it one space so it is not flush with the left margin). After that, you should be fine.

Greetings,

I am using FINK on my new Mac powerbook with OS 10.3, and I edited my
/sw/etc/fink.conf using PICO so that FINK would use all of the unstable tree (I
added unstable/main and unstable/crypto to the beginning of the Trees: line).
But now when I run 'fink index' or 'fink selfupdate' I get this response:

WARNING: Unable to parse the line "local/bootstrap Distribution: 10.3" in
"/sw/etc/fink.conf".
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/sw/lib/perl5/Fink/Config.pm line 128.
Distribution not set in config file ""!

Does anyone know what happened?

Thanks,
byron
