Hi Erik,

This looks like it will set my system up to use all unstable packages. I don't want to use all unstable packages, only a few. But I'd like to know what the unstable versions are at any given moment without having to go to the Package page on the Fink web site.

I have tried:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]: fink list --tree=unstable
Information about 1301 packages read in 5 seconds.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:

But as you can see, this doesn't display the unstable packages either.

The last time I attempted to use all unstable packages on one of my Macs it messed up my X11 environment. Most likely a fault of my own.

Go to the Preferences in FinkCommander and select Fink , there you can choose the unstable packages

I see that you can add a column in Fink Commander for unstable. This never shows any packages, however. Is there a way to have F Commander to display the unstable packages? I only use a few packages from unstable so it would be nice to see what versions are available without having to go to http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/index.php every time.

Thanks,
Shawn
