What happens if you try to install dpkg-1.10.9-27 via the command fink update dpkg does he bring the same errors? And which Mac OS X are you using? Some things changed when 10.3 followed up 10.2 so it is at the moment and will be for a while necessary to give this list the information which Mac OS X Version you are running. Not everybody updates to 10.3 for whatever reason he or she has. When using Panther did you install Apple's X11 and the X11SDK. Without these two packages you won't have that much fun with fink. If you won't use Apple's X11 did you then install Xfree4.3.99.901-2 or it precessor? What happnes if you just type "fink selfupdate-cvs" this was my command before switching to rsync. You should probably do so too. Rsync is way more stable than cvs. HTH Regards, Eric Hoch -- ## Ansprechpartner Anwenderuntersttzung, users-Mailingliste ## War unsere Hilfe erfolgreich?
