Hi, Im new to command-line and open-source things, and have just started using them. I am a Mac os X user who has just recently discovered the Terminal.
I have been trying to install some things using fink and alot of them require libiconv. But as it happens, I am having trouble installing libiconv. I have tried 'fink install libiconv' a number of times and it always stops. It goes through along thing and ends with errors. I am very lost, What should I do to get it to install? If it would help, I am using MacOS 10.3.2, and I have added the code from the error at the end of the message. Thanks, anything that might six this is welcome. gcc -I. -I. -I../include -I./../include -I/sw/include -g -O2 -DLIBDIR=\"/sw/lib\" -DENABLE_RELOCATABLE=1 -DIN_LIBRARY -DINSTALLDIR=\"/sw/lib\" -DNO_XMALLOC -Dset_relocation_prefix=libiconv_set_relocation_prefix -Drelocate=libiconv_relocate -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -c ./iconv.c -fno-common -DPIC -o .libs/iconv.o ./loop_wchar.h:28: header file 'wchar.h' not found cpp-precomp: warning: errors during smart preprocessing, retrying in basic mode make[1]: *** [iconv.lo] Error 1 make: *** [all] Error 2 ### execution of make failed, exit code 2 Failed: compiling libiconv-1.9.1-11 failed __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
