Thank you for your help.  I'm all set now. Sorry that I missed the faq. 
I noticed that someone else also posted about the /usr/bin/nm problem. 
Funny thing happened with that.  Message seems to have gone away and
doesn't appear anymore when I fire up sudo dselect!  I like stuff that
fixes itself!  Cheers...
