You can try the information on this web page (I tried it and
it worked for me):

   http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/09/10/sendmail.html

Sendmail is present on MacOS X (Jaguar) and AFAIK Panther.

You can also doing a search for "sendmail" or "sendmail enable"
on http://www.macosxhints.com and http://forums.macosxhints.com.
