<AKH> Can you do "fink update fink-mirrors" by itself?
This worked and solved the 'fink selfupdate' problem. I updated fink, but 'fink update-all' still crashed. This was because I still had some Xfree86 packages installed. I did a forced remove and I have now been able to successfully execute 'fink update-all'.
