OK... I have fink installed on my eMac and after Panther upgrade, I reinstalled it to get it working. All is well. ( Has been so since 10.3 came out ).

I recently bought an iBook G4 and have installed Fink. I have it "working" but not like the eMac. If I open X11 ( apple's - same installed on the eMac ), I can type pan or xmms and get my nice
Linux program running.

However when I do it on the iBook, I get command not found. Simply doing cd /sw/bin then xmms or pan or whatever, works.. I have a path problem obviously.
I have read (FAQ's) and created .xinitrc till I am blue in the face with no luck. I suspect I am doing something wrong. Then I read earlier tonite somewhere ( I forget - I'm tired ) that it's not tcsh but csh or something now..?? Does this make any sense.? I did a search on the eMac for .xinitrc and came up blank..

HELP?? What am I missing??

Have a look at http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/users-guide/install.php#setup

Remember: the default shell for 10.3 is bash. However, if you upgrade from 10.2 where the default was tcsh you keep tcsh for your existing user.
