Ok. I have managed to get Fink up and running, mostly. However, most of the FAQ's and postings refer to being able to install gnucash by merely typing
"sudo /sw/bin/fink install gnucash"

The package is not found in fink ( I suppose). Can anyone help me? I have update fink per instructions and have the latest and greatest versions.

The latest and greatest is nice, but not very informative. What version of OS X are you running? Do you have the unstable tree activated? If you are on 10.2 then you have to enable the unstable tree to get gnucash (see http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php#unstable). On 10.3 gnucash is also available from stable tree. Have you run 'fink selfupdate' lately?
