Hi,

I am trying for some days to make the iTeXMac frontend work with the fink version of tetex but I do not manage to.

I have installed the fink package that appears as "tetex-texmf" when I do a fink list. I have already set the iTeXMac preferences in order to use fink tetex (menu tetex assistant in iTeXMac preferences).

First I was compiling the latex document, but itexMac gave an error it could not find altpdflatex. So I intalled it via fink. Now 'altpdflatex is installed, but iTeXMac generates another message error: it can not find the command 'kpsewhich' and the files '/sw/bin/latex' and '/sw/bin/dvips'.

So I supppose I installed the false tetex package. There are so many with this name!!! Which one should I install? How should I proceed?

You installed one of the packages you need, but you need more. You need to install the tetex-base and tetex-shlibs packages as well.

Thanks in advance
Aureli
