Thanks for the info regarding updating to gcc3.3. Now I've tried for hours to self-update Fink using selfupdate-cvs (apparently I'm still using rysnc even though I thought that I had updated with cvs last time) and at some point I get
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)
### execution of cvs failed, exit code 1
Failed: Downloading package descriptions from CVS failed.
There are no messages above that indicate any problems. What gives?
Thanks mucho,
Brian
Additionally, I'm running OS10.2.3 and show successful update to gcc3.3
I got an almost complete selfupdate-cvs but got hung up on "mirror selection". I'm running thru Commander and when asked to pick the Fink mirror I could not pick a selection nor use the default by hitting return. I quit the update and am still stuck with the non gcc3.3 package descriptions. My question is, did Fink partially update and should I just keep trying, letting it build on partial updates?
Thanks,
Brian
