Hi Alex,

Prefs trashed and trash emptied - no dice.
Repested, with deleting old finkcommander also being deleted and trash
emptied before copying finkcommander  back and running and still empty.

A couple of icons on the taskbar disappear also until pressed..."very
lovely"
