Steve: Yeah, I have tried it before, but I found out it needed Apple's X11 which I no longer use. I use OroborOSX (http://oroborosx.sf.net/) and posted about it in the mailing list/forum (http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1051468&forum_id=142721). :(

There is a binary version available at http://gimp-app.sourceforge.net/ that comes as a Mac application that is drag and droppable (i.e. you can drag images onto the icon to open them in Gimp 2.) Mind you it is still an X11 app. You need to have Apple's X11 installed.

I was reading a thread that someone was trying to compile Gimp 2. Is Gimp 2 really compilable in MacOS X 10.2.8?

Thank you in advance. :)
