I would suggest that either your ".profile" or your shell's ".rc" file was modified, so therefore every time
you boot up the terminal or shell, you get that stuff displayed.

Take a look at those files and if you see stuff that would be causing that to happen, delete that file and
re boot the terminal. Those files get re written every time you exit from the shell.
