I've recently installed XDarwin via fink. but have yet to get it to start up. Whenever I try running "startx -- -fullscreen" or
"startx -- -rootless" my cursor will change to an "X" for about 5 seconds then quit mysteriously. Running the fullscreen
mode also causes the screen to turn to a black and white checker pattern before quitting. "xfree86" and "xfree86-shlibs"
are my installed packages. My .xinitrc file has a single "source /sw/bin/init.sh". Here is the output from some of the commands:
That's your problem: you aren't calling a window manager in your .xinitrc .
