Hi,
In installing bundle-gnome (stable) I get this ( I can't figure it out). (I have x11 w panther installed)

This looks like one of the examples from the Fink FAQ#6.15 "I get errors involving freetype." http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/comp-general.php?#freetype-problems
In particular, you probably have an old version of the file
/usr/X11R6/include/freetype2/freetype/internal/ftstream.h from an earlier installation of X11.
