I just installed Fink and used it to install the perl DBD::mysql module, because this module wouldn't install any other way.
So, DBD::mysql works fine when I try to use it from the command line, but when I try to invoke it from a CGI script, it fails, because the new /sw/lib directories are not in perl's library paths. Here's the error: "install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC" I assume that it's happening like this because when I run it myself, it's getting the PERL5LIB environment variable from my home directory. But how can I expand perl's "@INC" list for EVERYONE, including "nobody," which is the name under which Apache runs?
