I'll consider brutality. I'm trying to update bundle-gnome and get variations of:
trying to overwrite `/sw/include/libgsf-1/gsf/gsf-doc-meta-data.h', which is also in package libgsf

I checked "fink list libgsf" and it is shown as installed. Do I need to force overwrite each file that has this issue? I'm trying to install packages one at a time to isolate the problem ones.

I've removed, installed, rebuilt, fetched and installed and keep getting the same problem.

You need to be more brutal:

Warning--this may cause strange effects if the two files aren't identical or close to it.
