What is the proper fix?

if you want just to downgrade the single file that seems to cause problems.

What would really be nice, instead of a downgrade or hack, is a status report on the communication between The Fink Project and Apple Computer or The OpenDarwin Project regarding this issue. I know that *someone* has already picked up the phone and had a conversation about this, but it would be nice to know what the text of that conversation was. :-|

Much more has happened actually, but you know there are NDAs and such things... My guess is that you won't have to wait very long any more until an "official" update for Xcode-1.5 appears, but it is Apple's turn to announce it when it's ready. Right now you either have to put up with the "hack" or be patient.
