It worked!! I have KDE back up and running. I think I'll hold off on updating to KDE3.3 for a while though. I guess the qt3-3.2.3123 are broken then? Thanks for your help Martin and Benjamin

With

  sudo dpkg -i /path/to/your/debfile.deb

you can install any deb file. It will check dependencies, however, and fail if not all dependencies are installed. If your deb file is from your 10.2-gcc3.3 tree, there is a certain chance that it will not work on 10.3.
