What's the best course of action in this case?
Letting fink install its things itself is pretty much the *only* course of action in this case. By design, fink only deals with things that are part of the OS X system or are part of fink itself. Even doing a manual install or using a different package manager to place files in /sw won't suffice. That way we are 100% in control of what compile-time options were used, what features are enabled, where files are installed, etc. dan -- Daniel Macks [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: InterSystems CACHE FREE OODBMS DOWNLOAD - A multidimensional database that combines robust object and relational technologies, making it a perfect match for Java, C++,COM, XML, ODBC and JDBC. www.intersystems.com/match8 _______________________________________________ Fink-beginners mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-beginners
