You were on the money anyway. Thanks very much! Indeed, I had opted not to
install the Gimpprint package when I recently performed an archive and
install of my Panther system. The reason for that was that before, whenever
I installed my Epson printer, two printers were created and the gimpprint
version was not robust. If I deleted it, it would reappear. Anyway, I
located and installed the gimpprint package from my Panther install CD
(actually, I made a DVD that combines all 4 CDs in the set) and Gimp2
compiled just fine after that.
