Heinz, I'm not sure if I can help, but to clarify: You are running 10.3 with both kde and gnome installed? --robert

This does indeed work, but is not intended to be the real solution.
The problem is that both default-icon-theme and kdelibs3(-ssl) share a common file. They aren't identical, unfortunately, but the version from default-icon-theme is newer so it is assumed that that's the one to use.
The ultimate resolution may be to have a separate package for the one file (this is what Debian wound up doing).
This won't go into the FAQ for a few days, as I'm hoping for a clean resolution instead.
