I just now noticed that Apple has released an update (back in November)
for the GCC included with Xcode 1.5. Details on the fink website. So,
undo the workaround that is detailed there and/or install Xcode 1.5 if
you haven't already since the update only works on Xcode 1.5 and the
problem will be fixed.
I think I'm working with Xcode 1.1, but I haven't noticed any problems.
What is the best way to upgrade to Xcode 1.5 without breaking Fink?
It won't break Fink--the issue was with compiling a few specific packages.
Just install XCode 1.5 and the November 2004 update to it.
Make sure to install the DevSDK package installed too, as it tends to show up as "optional".
