This would be the file config.log in /sw/src/gdbm3-1.8.3-1/gdbm-1.8.3/. Look for the last error message in that file.

as you see I do have this stuff installed.
But your installation might be incomplete. A missing or incomplete DevSDK.pkg is the most frequent cause of this error, but it could be any number of other things.
