Bummer. Sure enough, no X11R6 directory in /usr.[]
config/util/printver.c:10:19: stdio.h: No such file or directory
This certainly looks like your developer tools are not installed properly.
--For the record, I installed XCodeTools 1.5, including Development Kit, gcc 3.3 (I brain-locked at first, went out and grabbed xfree86 BEFORE I did the XCodeTools 1.5 thing --I had 1.1 prior--; Fink-commander squawked about gcc 3.3 and THEN I did the XCodeTools install --just to be honest), MacOSX 10.3SDK, x11SDK.....
Forget xfree86 from Fink. Install the X11Users.pkg from your OSX system disk. Then reinstall all of your Xcode developer tools, including all optional packages. Finally install the November2004 gcc updater package from developer.apple.com.
