I did indeed find & solve that problem through the FAQ. I thought i had edited that part out when i forwarded the query back to the list a week or 2 later.

You may be able to recreate this file by running pango-querymodules.
Did you run pango-querymodules as it said?
All i got was "command not found".
- Packages related gdk-pixbuf.loaders that I found on my system are
gdk-pixbuf-shlibs gtk+2 and gtk+2-shlibs
Are all of these present?
