Hi Martin,
I just followed other posting for setting up xfontpaht in .xinitrc.
I have following ghostscripts installed;
ghostscript 8.11-2
By this you mean ghostscript-fonts-8.11-2, I suppose?
ghostscript 6.01-4
This is the "ghostscript6" package? This is very old. I would strongly suggest to install the "ghostscript8" package. This will install version 8.13 or 8.14 and remove the ghostscript6 version.
x-ghostscript 20020206-3
Again I suppose this is the x-ghostscript-fonts package?
As I mentioned before , xset q tells me applettf is on the font path but any of applettf fonts does not show up on X11 apps.
This is very strange. In what application? If you run the "xfontsel" program from the command line and look at the "fmly" menu, don't you see all the Apple font names?
Also I tried, xset fp+ /sw/lib/X11/fonts/ghostscript but the ghostscript was not on the font path.
Did this command give you an error message?
