Hi all,
I am confused about the differences between Fink and DarwinPorts. They seem to be very similar. Could someone please explain (or point me to a document that explains) the distinction between the two?
I am concerned that there is a waste of effort by having these two projects separated. Wouldn't it make sense to combine them? Or perhaps there could at least be a utility that converts Portfiles to Fink's .info files (and vice versa).
Although, if such a utility is possible, then it would prove that the two projects are indeed redundant.
