The 0.7.1 binary installer allows you to choose a
volume other than the boot volume and creates the
symbolic link as well - a feature that I am very
pleased with since I am very much out of space on the
boot HD.
Alexander, the "OtherVolume" is internal as well. It
appears as if the invisible flag for the /sw folder is
dependent on logouts/reboots in OS X, in any case it
has disappeared now. Probably nothing to do with file
ownership. Thanks for your help.
