Hello again, I thought that I would send this out agin in hope that someone can help. I purged both evolution and gnucash and reinstalled the binaries but get the same results. Should I try the source packages? Thanks for any assistance.
Package manager version: 0.23.5 Distribution version: 0.7.1.rsync MacOSX 10.3.5 Hello, I have updated almost all my packages except for some that I no longer use. In attempting to start GnuCash 1.8.11-1 I get: "brianoke% gnucash Gdk-ERROR **: X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)." I don't know what this error means. Any help would be appreciated. Much Thanks I'm still not able to use evolution although I've removed and reinstalled it. I can't get any of the shortcut buttons to do anything, like open the calendar or the contacts windows. It is still my favorite organizer and although it's not absolutely necessary, if I can get it working I would like to do so. Here is the terminal output on starting it: "evolution (evolution:1112): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: g_object_set_valist: construct proper ty "type" for object `ESplash' can't be set after construction (evolution:1112): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gsignal.c:1738: instance `0x4695560' has no handler with id `11113' ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
