Hi Kim,

I read at http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/firefox that the package is only available in source form (i.e., Fink Commander and pre-built binaries won't help), in the unstable tree. If you can't find firefox with "fink list firefox", then you probably don't have this tree enabled.

To do this, edit /sw/etc/fink.conf so that its Trees line includes unstable/main (and maybe unstable/crypto; my Trees line, correctly or incorrectly, is "Trees: local/main local/bootstrap unstable/main unstable/crypto stable/main stable/crypto"). Then I imagine you'll need to run "fink selfupdate" or possibly "fink index" in your Terminal, followed by "fink install firefox" (all without the quotes, of course). That should do it, I think.

Good luck and let me (us) know how it goes, Jonathan

I already have fink set up and running on my Mac. I have Gnome running as well. The next step is to load Firefox but I can't find it on the fink site. Any guidance would be appreciated.
