Nobody else seen this? I compiled it up on my PowerBook, too, and it's exactly the same. I haven't been able to find any reference to this problem elsewhere, so I'm presuming it's an OSX issue.
Mike.
On my PBG4Ti (500MHz) running 10.3.9, there is a delay of approx. 2 minutes between calling Ethereal (from the Gnome menu), the terminal app appearing to request my admin pw, and Ethereal fully loading. However, at least for the default capture setup, capture begins as soon as requested.
